Bees, tree house, goats and
chickens...
We started keeping bees (one hive). The bee hive is not far from our enormous lime-tree, the bees worked very hard to transport the pollen. Our chicken and goats are living together in another field behind the house.

Cevennes / Les Vans

Sustainable & Reclaimed materials
- In 2014 we started our building project in the forest, We parked our "gipsy wagon /vintage RV" and big bell tent for some instant comfort. The ruin (three remaining walls) has been rebuild and restored, an old farm house which has been abandonded for more than 60 years. We made a new roof with 8 mtrs long Chestnut beams and douglas, typical for the Cevennes area. We installed a "phyto filtration" system for grey water filtering /rain water shower and dry toilet, vegetable garden, reparing old stone walls in the forest, cutting firewood etc

- We love to visit the brocante markets and "depot ventes" in the neighboorhood. In and around the house you find a lot if reclaimed furniture etc . Inge also creates home decor with reclaimed fabrics and materials in her workshop.
